Piano

I provide 1-on-1 Piano lessons for students ranging from as young as age 5 through adults in classical and pop style. Piano is the most important instrument which is the foundation of learning music and other instruments. Piano is easy to understand and is a wonderful first instrument for everyone!

In the first lesson, I’d like to know more about the student and build trust. You can share more songs you like, why choosing to learn the piano and your years of playing experience. I create the relaxing and happy environment for students. Giving students the satisfaction and knowledge of music is my goal in the lessons. 30 minute lesson is the perfect lesson length for beginners as well.

Piano Lesson Structure:

Lesson Book- Improving skills and knowing music by learning songs. I teach students to play the piece and sing at the same time, helping their music reading and abilities. Teacher and student will have duet with demo music. We enjoy the playing and having fun together.

Theory Book- Writing / coloring, sight reading, ear-training, composing and games. Students love to try different types of learning.

Extra Piece- Pick the piece you like, the teacher can compose the easy version for you! That helps students listen to lots of different kinds of music. Share with me! We can grow together!

Cello

I provide the 1-on-1 Cello lessons starting from age 10 through adult in classical and pop style.

Cello is a deep and beautiful string instrument which is indispensable in the orchestra and symphony.

I offer the Cello for the first trial lesson, but you’ll need to bring your own Cello to the lessons after you sign up.

Cello Lesson Structure:

1. Open strings and scales- Warming up before our main topic. Open string is the important base and it helps you with improving skills later on.

2. Exercises- Learning the demensions on the fingerboard by playing beautiful short pieces.

3. Pieces– Pick songs from the books and the teacher will play a duet with you.
